Business Quality Manager
Job description
- To manage and continually improve our business processes through our ISO9001 2015 Quality Management System at our photomultiplier and accessories facility at Uxbridge and our glass making division at Stourbridge.
- To retain responsibility for conducting internal and external ISO Audits and dealing with and responding to external ISO Auditors.
- To manage and maintain a good working relationship with all our customers, suppliers, employees, agency workers, and contractors to ensure our quality standards are effective in the workplace.
- To manage, maintain and improve our control systems including method instructions, work instructions, specifications, controlled forms, technical drawings, change requests, non-conformance reports, and equipment calibrations.
- To incorporate regulatory standards appropriate to a manufacturing business throughout all functions of the Quality Management System and in particular related to health and safety at work and the environment.
- To train inspectors throughout the business on the interpretation of drawings, specifications and processes to define pass and fail limits.
- To make quality records and analyse their results, making verbal and written reports as appropriate, including failure rates, yields, warranty returns, internal scrap analysis, and including reporting on significant quality issues to monthly Management Review Meetings.
- To develop, monitor and continually improve key performance indicators (KPI) for the business.
Education
- A mechanical engineering qualification is required for this role.
- NEBOSH certification is desirable for this role.

- Previous experience of managing an ISO9001 Quality Management System in a manufacturing business is essential.
