Radiation Detection
Radiation Detection
Portable radiation meters incorporating a photomultiplier tube and scintillator can measure the radioactive dose received by those who work in the nuclear power industry, the nuclear pharmaceutical industry and in hospital radiography departments. Portable as well as fixed detectors can be used to detect the radioactive contamination of clothing worn by these workers and thus protecting them from exceeding a safe level. These detectors can also be used to protect the environment by monitoring the fallout from nuclear accidents or leaks.

Cargo Scanning
With increased focus on national security, scanning of large vehicles at border control areas has become a valuable addition to the security of nations. An X-ray source and an array of photomultiplier tubes is used to image the objects within the large vehicles as they pass through the border control areas.
